Following a perinatal or infant loss, families receive an ongoing flow of medical bills from their insurance company that they are expected to understand and pay, while also managing their grief. We are here to consolidate this portion of the post-child loss journey: tracking and organizing medical bills, and advocating to their insurance companies and the affiliated hospital systems to have bills absolved where possible. By doing this, we relieve a portion of the financial and mental strain that these bills can trigger for a family, while ensuring that every avenue of assistance is exhausted. Families are able to focus on their healing instead of spending their time sorting through the constant stream of paperwork and phone calls to understand what they are liable for. We know first hand the emotional trigger that is receiving these bills after the loss of your child, and we are committed to making this one aspect of your grief manageable.

Who We Are

Aubrey’s Advocate, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that manages medical bills and administrative tasks relating to a perinatal loss. We will thoroughly review your claims, working with your insurance company and employer to exhaust all avenues for financial liability from the parents.

Honoring my daughter’s legacy

Hi, I am Julie. Mama to my angel, Aubrey Rae, who was born still on 9/29/2020 at 39 weeks. After a completely healthy pregnancy, my world was turned upside down when I was told that my daughter no longer had a heart beat because her umbilical cord had gotten wrapped around her neck while she was moving into the birth canal.

The hours, days, and months since changed me in a way that words cannot explain. I realized the need to advocate for myself, my daughter, and my family for everything we needed- time off of work, attention from providers, questions relating to what it was that the insurance company was telling me that we needed to pay for. I was no longer going to let the world tell me what I was entitled to as I was learning my way through grief. I was going to make sure that I had full control over whatever it was that I needed.
